Musée de Montmartre – Private wine tasting in museum’s vineyard followed by curated visit to historic apartment and studio of Suzanne Valadon and Maurice Utrillo and also to the permanent collection featuring original Chat Noir artwork. Sneak preview of Picasso exhibit not yet open to the public before reception in Renoir gardens.
L’Union Interalliée – Gathering of French and American allies of today to celebrate their partnership with the Foundation at what De Gaulle called the “French Embassy in Paris.” 20+ French partners attended, including American Cathedral in Paris, Arianespace, Château de Versailles, Chateau de Versailles Spectacles – Opera Royal, Columbia University, France-Amerique, Institut Bocuse, JP Morgan Chase, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Musée Montmartre, Musée National de la Marine, NYU, NYTimes, and Ymer & Malta.
Cuisine as Diplomacy – Symposium developed with the Embassy of France featuring French Ambassador for Gastronomy Guillaume Gomez, Historian Libby O’Connell, US Ambassador Rufus Gifford, and Versailles chief curator Betrand Rondot. Subsequent VIP reception at the French Residence honored White House Chef Cristeta Comerford.
The James Webb Space Telescope – Symposium developed with the Embassy of France, Arianespace, and NASA marking the December 2021 launch Webb Telescope featuring additional experts from Ball Aerospace, European Space Agency, Northrop Grumman, and Washington Post.
Un Village Français – French Ambassador to the US Philippe Etienne recognizes the French-American Cultural Foundation, saying “Your mission is to honor the past, celebrate the present and build for the future and that mission is our mission at the Embassy of France as well.”
