Mission
Honoring the past, celebrating the present, and building for the future
The French-American Cultural Foundation is composed of individuals and organizations committed to advancing and enhancing partnerships between France and America. Our programs highlight our shared culture, and a way of life that emphasizes independence, creativity, and excellence.
The Foundation works to celebrate and promote the current cultural and commercial bonds between our two nations, primarily by collaborating with institutions (from both countries), including: leading historical, artistic, educational and cultural institutions, organizations, foundations, and charities.
Through an exciting, diverse, and innovative range of events, initiatives and partnerships encompassing the performing and visual arts, the fields of science, history, and education the Foundation has committed to building lasting relationships between the people of the two countries.
Achieving these goals often involves partnering with our respective embassies and prestigious institutions from both countries, including: Embassy of France, Jefferson Hotel, Library of Congress, Monticello, Mount Vernon, National Gallery of Art, National Museum of American History, Palace of Versailles, and White House Historical Association.
As it moves forward, the Foundation is seeking to foster and improve commercial links between the two nations through a business council and our organization’s extensive, and ever growing, network.
We are also committed to the vital role of helping to support the preservation, restoration and exhibition of important shared historical artifacts and memorials, both in the US and France, through fundraising efforts and formal partnering arrangements.
As an organization it is our hope that these efforts will honor the past, celebrate the present, and build for the future.
