2016 Lafayette Prize

On November 30, 2016, the distinguished Lafayette Prize was awarded to Marguerite and H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest at the Residence of France.

The Lafayette Prize, the Foundation’s highest honor, is given to individuals who through their work and vision have strengthened the ties between the US and France. Marguerite and Gerry Lenfest, through their unique and extraordinary style of philanthropy, have strongly supported numerous programs and exchanges between France and the United States.

We were honored that Ambassador Gérard Araud hosted this dinner, and that Dr. James Billington, former Librarian of Congress, and Mr. David McCullough, Pulitzer-prize winning author, were in attendance as well. Félicitations!
