Charlotte Puckette has shared her enthusiasm for French food for over 25 years with hundreds of local and international food enthusiasts, escorting them on excursions ranging from gastronomic journeys through Paris to treks through the butter world of Normandy.
She is a graduate of Paris’ Le Cordon Bleu and the co-author of The Ethnic Paris Cookbook (Dorling Kindersley, March 2007). She is also a cooking instructor and food consultant as well as a caterer and private chef with a large clientele, including several fashion houses, celebrities, and high-profile ex-pats.
Having grown up eating shrimp and grits in her native Charleston, South Carolina, she arrived in Paris with limited culinary knowledge, unlimited curiosity and a very big appetite. The thoughts, “That looks good. Wonder what it is. Maybe I should try it!” have guided her head, heart, and stomach for over two decades as she has learned, taught, thought, and written about food—and, of course, cooked it.
Her appetite for French foods takes her all over France to taste the country’s endless variety of products and to converse with the passionate farmers, artisans, and chefs who produce them. Her online presence includes her website and Facebook, Instagram and Trip Advisor pages. Charlotte’s wealth of knowledge and reputation have led several food companies in France to seek her out as a consultant for product development.
We are excited to welcome Charlotte as a contributor to Le Blog!
