For the Exposition Universelle of 1900, Frédéric Bartholdi created a smaller version of the Statue of Liberty. It was placed outside Musée du Luxembourg in 1905 where it stood until 2014. It is currently on display at the entrance of Musée d’Orsay. A bronze replica stands in its place at Jardin du Luxembourg.
