Documentary: Battle At Versailles – The Competition that Shook the Fashion Industry

On November 28th, 1973, social elites gathered for The Battle of Versailles Fashion Show. The show raised money for restoration efforts at the Palace of Versailles. Created by Eleanor Lambert and Versailles curator Gerald Van der Kemp, the show pitted French designers against American designers.

In this documentary narrated by Stanley Tucci, we learn more about the event that pushed American designers into the spotlight and redefined the fashion industry forever.
