Maggie Grant

Maggie Grant is the founder and director of the health and wellness company Granted Wellbeing LLC.   Maggie works with individuals and corporations to curate their personalized or corporate lifestyle and wellness plans, runs global workshops on a variety of subjects from longevity to mindfulness meditation.

Maggie entered the wellness world out of necessity when her then young son struggled with debilitating developmental challenges.  She traveled the world looking for answers but instead came home with a new perspective on finding and addressing the root causes of medical mysteries, not bandaging the symptoms.  Happy to report and against all predictions, her son is a thriving, recent college graduate who played competitive football and is now an EMT in Washington serving his community for several years before launching his next life chapter.

In a previous life, Maggie served as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at The White House for President George W Bush as well as the President’s liaison to the nation’s Governors, Mayors, and State Legislators.  Prior to that tour in Washington, Maggie lived in Chicago and served as Executive Director of the Council of Great Lakes Governors. Prior to her tenure at the Council, she served as Executive Director of Governor of Illinois Jim Edgar’s campaign committee.

In addition, Maggie served in President George HW Bush’s Administration as Assistant Director of Media Affairs at The White House and was a political field coordinator for President Bush’s 1992 re-election campaign.  Before joining President Bush’s staff, Maggie worked in the special projects division of ABC News, Washington bureau.

Maggie is also a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) representing children entering the foster care system.  She serves on several boards and has recently joined the board of The French-American Cultural Foundation.  She and her husband Max have two grown children and a pack of dogs.  They live in Arlington, Virginia.
