Legion of Honor Ceremony Honoring Cameron Griffith

Published: June 26, 2022

The insignia of Chevalier de l’ Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur was recently bestowed upon Cameron Griffith, the Congressional Affairs Liaison for the Embassy of France in Washington, D.C. From two decades in his position, Mr. Griffith has extraordinary stories about the relationships and moments he has witnessed.

Mr. Griffith has held this position since the formation of the Congressional French Caucus and has nurtured it over the years. The reception in his honor reflected a great camaraderie between Mr. Griffith and the current French Ambassador to the United States, Philippe Étienne, and the event featured several video messages from former ambassadors. United States Senator Chris Coons, Co-Chair of the Congressional French Caucus was also in attendance.

This event honoring Mr. Griffith demonstrated how important this position is for French-American relations and how well he has fulfilled the tasks.
